Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
- Detailer accounts: name, email, business details, base address and service settings you enter.
- Booking data: when a client books a detailer, we store the name, email, phone, service address and vehicle details the client submits — on behalf of that detailer.
- Waitlist: the email address you submit on our homepage.
- Usage analytics: anonymous page-view counts. We hash IP + browser into a daily identifier and do not store raw IP addresses; no cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies.
2. How we use it
- To run the service: schedule bookings, send confirmation/reminder emails, show detailers their calendar and client history.
- To email you about your account or product updates (you can unsubscribe from non-essential email).
- We do not sell personal data, ever.
3. Who we share it with
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Paddle — subscription checkout (merchant of record). Card details go to Paddle directly and never touch our servers.
- LocationIQ — address autocomplete and geocoding (the address text you type is sent to look up suggestions).
4. Client data belongs to the detailer
When you book through a detailer's page, that detailer is the controller of your booking data; we process it on their behalf. To change or delete your data, use the manage link in your booking email, contact your detailer, or email us and we'll help.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep data while an account is active. If you delete your account, we delete personal data within 30 days except records we must keep by law. Waitlist emails are deleted on request.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to the operator of the service.
7. Your rights
You can request access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@getdetailkit.com. If you are in the EU/UK or California, these rights are backed by GDPR/CCPA and we honor them for everyone regardless of location.
8. Changes
If this policy changes materially we will email registered users before the change takes effect.
